Delete your account & data
MyBookAngel — how to remove your account and everything associated with it.
You can remove books from your visible library, or permanently erase your account and its active server records. Removing an individual book is different from erasing its stored data.
Remove a book from your library
- Remove a book: long-press any book in your Library or Wishlist and choose Delete. This hides the book and syncs that change to signed-in devices; it does not erase the stored book fields. Deleted-book records, copy history and earlier synced results can remain while your account exists to coordinate updates, deletion and retries. Use account deletion below to erase your active account-owned server records.
- Export first: open Menu → Export to CSV for a spreadsheet copy. CSV is not a complete backup: it may omit history, values and local cover files. Use a full backup when available in your installed version, and verify it before deleting local data.
Delete your entire account
In the app (instant): open Account & Sync (the profile icon), scroll down and tap Delete account…, then confirm with your password. Your account and active synced records are deleted from the service. Device-local copies and exported backups remain under your control.
By email: if you can no longer access the app, email
privacy@mybookangel.com
from the address you used to sign up, with the subject Delete my account.
We need to verify ownership before processing an email request. Never send your password or sign-in token by email.
What gets deleted
- Your account and email address
- Your entire book library and wishlists (titles, authors, ISBNs, covers, ratings, notes, shelves, series, price targets)
- All device sign-in tokens and any shared-wishlist links you created
- Price-drop alerts, series preferences and copy movement records tied to your account
Local copies, backups and security records
Deleting the account does not delete books stored only on your device, local cover photos, or backups you exported. Remove those separately if you no longer want them. Operational backups may retain prior copies until normal rotation, and limited security records may remain for service protection. Individual-book deletion can retain the stored book fields and related history while your account exists, as described above.
